What to Expect
The initial acupuncture consultation takes approximately one hour and includes a patient intake, diagnosis, treatment plan and an acupuncture treatment. Emphasis is on learning about the nature of the health problem, patient education and prognosis.
Follow up visits are usually 1 hour and incorporate acupuncture and if needed, other therapies such as cupping, moxa, or tuina.
Fees
Initial Acupuncture Consultation and Treatment: $145
Follow-up Acupuncture Treatment - Standard: $95
If Chinese herbs are prescribed, the cost will vary based on the formula used and whether herbs are dispensed in pill or powder form. The average cost for pills has been about $20 week. The cost for custom herb powder formulas can vary between $25-$40 per week. Certain herb formulas may be more expensive due to variation in individual herb costs.
All of our herbs are GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) certified, sulfur free, and have been tested for DDT, Hexachlorabenzene, lead, arsenic, mercury, cadmium and other contaminants.
Vitamin and Supplement costs vary as well. We strongly prefer whole food nutrients and focus on addressing the primary nutritional needs of a patient. We prefer to use certain brands for their superior quality and efficacy including Standard Process, Mediherb, Klaire Labs, and Green Pastures.
Payment methods accepted are cash, check, credit card, Flex Spending, Health Savings Account (HSA), and various cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin & Ether).
Insurance
We no longer accept any heath insurance plans. We do accept Flex Spending Plans and Health Savings Accounts (HSA).
